Ayumi Hamasaki - Mirrocle World

This is Ayumi Hamasaki's latest song. This music video was filmed in Paris, France.

Here's the English translated lyrics:

Did I imagine this kind of future?
Did you imagine this kind of future?

Did I wish for this kind of future?
Did you wish for this kind of future?

They ask me "The Beginning or the End?"
"Did you give up or are you holding on?"
"Are you shrugging off or in despair?"
You tell me just to go forward

Oh, Yeah Yeah (2x)

Can I accept this kind of era?
Can you accept this kind of era?

They ask me "Do you go with the flow or want to stop it?"
"Do you turn a blind eye or aren't you even looking?"
"Are you fighting or raising the white flag?"
It's no time to play a victim and escape

(music break)

You see? We and this world have no sign of slowing down
If the acceleration just increase this way...

Yeah (9x)
Woah woah woah woah
Yeah (10x)
Woah...woah woah!

They ask me "The Beginning or the End?"
"Did you give up or are you holding on?"
"Are you shrugging off or in despair?"
Woah...yeah yeah yeah!
Woah...yeah yeah yeah!
You tell me just to go forward

Oh, yeah yeah (2x)

Is it because I've become strong that I can be without tears or...?

Akeelah and the Bee

This is one of my fav movies. It's about a girl named Akeelah Anderson who excels in spelling. She goes through different obstacles of getting into the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Its fun to watch. Watch for Sean Michael Afable in this movie....*screams* Enjoy =D!

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4

Here's the cast:
Akeelah Anderson (Keke Palmer) - The main character of the movie. An 11-year-old who attends Crenshaw Middle School where she excels in spelling though she does skip sometimes. She's the youngest in the family having an older sister and two brothers. She kind of resembles her father, who had died. To make her feel better over the loss of her dad, she spells a word over and over. She also plays Scrabble. Her coach who trains her to go all the way to the SNSB is Dr. Joshua Larabee.

Georgia (Sahara Garey) - The best friend of Akeelah. She also attends Crenshaw and supports Akeelah during her spelling bee. Her ambition is to become a flight attendant.

Javier Mendez (J.R. Villarreal) - An 11-year-old who met Akeelah at the regional bee. He attends a school in Woodland Hills. He and Akeelah became friends and they support each other to try their best during the spelling competition. At his 12th birthday party, he impulsively kisses Akeelah. He does have a fear of heights [eg. planes]. Akeelah makes him feel better by kissing him back and thanking him for stalling time during the State Bee. During the first half of the movie, he mentions that he has been to the SNSB the year before, where he placed 13th.

Dylan Chiu (Sean Michael Afable) - He's kind of the bad guy in the movie. A 14-year-old, who was the runner-up twice at the SNSB. He also attends Woodland Hills with Javier. Like Akeelah, he plays Scrabble. He played Scrabble with six opponents including Akeelah at Javier's birthday party. His father, who is also his coach, refuses to let him be second for the rest of his life. Near the end of the movie, he does have a change of heart and then becomes good.

Dr. Joshua Larabee (Lawrence Fishburne) - A professor who is Akeelah's coach. He says Akeelah has potential to win the SNSB. He even taught Akeelah a strategy to spell with her daughter's jump rope. As for personal life, he's doing gardening. He says that its Patricia's garden. He used to have a little girl named Denise, who's probably the same age as Akeelah. The loss of his daughter made him not teach for awhile.

Mr. Welch (Curtis Armstrong) - The principal of Crenshaw Middle School. He thinks that Akeelah has potentional to compete in the spelling bee. He wants one of his students to go to the SNSB. The school had its first spelling bee in which Akeelah won. Throughout the movie, he attends all the spelling bees Akeelah has competed in. He even called the media after Akeelah placed in the top 3 in the State Bee to go to the SNSB.

Tanya Anderson (Angela Bassett) - She is Akeelah's mother. She originally wanted to be a doctor, instead she worked as a nurse. She didn't want Akeelah to attend the spelling bee because she fears like other children, Akeelah might mispell a word. She supports Akeelah all the way after the State Bee by saying that there are 50,000 coaches to help Akeelah study with the flash cards that Dr. Larabee made. She has four children including Akeelah. Her husband died when Akeelah was young.

Kiana (Erica Hubbard) - Akeelah's oldest sister. She is a single mother who has a baby girl. She watched Akeelah compete in the Regional Bee along with Mr. Welch, who is the principal of Crenshaw Middle School. She does help out when she saw a parent help her child spell a word, making the contestant disqualified and Akeelah being the last finalist to move on to the State Bee.

Devon (Lee Thompson Young) - Akeelah's oldest brother. He works in the navy/airforce and supports Akeelah to compete in the spelling bee.

Terrence (Julito McCullum) - Akeelah's older brother. He dresses cool and he gets some bling bling from Derrick T. He kind of threatens Akeelah because she is facing against surburban or rich [White] kids at the spelling bee. During the 2nd half of the movie, he helps Akeelah study.

Derrick T (Eddie Steeples) - A friend of Terrence. He rides in style [a truck]. He mentions that in 5th grade he wrote a poem and won a blue ribbon. He, along with his friends help Akeelah to study for the SNSB.

Mr. Chiu (Tzi Ma) - Dylan's father and coach. He wants his son to win the SNSB so that he can be in first place for the rest of his life rather than being second in two previous SNSB's. Throughout the film, he's strict and serious. He does not want Dylan to lose to Akeelah on his third and last attempt at the SNSB. He does not applause till near the end of the movie.

Notable Cameos:
Dr. Jacques Bailly - plays himself as the pronouncer at the Scripps National Spelling Bee
Katie Kerwin McCrimmon - winner of 1979 National Spelling Bee

Sneak Peek of Ugly Betty Season 2

I was on Youtube recently and I happen to find two clips of the first episode of Ugly Betty season 2. *The clips have been deleted!*

The first scene shows Betty dressed as a maid and is crying over a pic of Charlie and Henry together. Just then, Henry arrives and we hear a spanish dialogue with English subs.

Here's the English subs script:
Betty - Oh! *breaks down and cries on the couch*
[Henry arrives]
Henry (as Senor Grubstick) - Betty, are you alright? Did you break another vase?
Betty - No Senor Grubstick...What's breaking...IS MY HEART!
[Henry comes over to Betty and pulls her off the couch]
Henry - *taking Betty's glasses off* Betty
[Ripping sound and Betty kisses Henry. Few seconds later Charlie appears]
Charlie - Whore!
Henry - Darling...I can explain!
Charlie - I cannot take your lies anymore. I am having your baby! If I can't have you...no one else can! *points a gun at Henry and Betty*
Betty - *goes in front of Henry* No! You will have to kill me to get to him!
Charlie - My pleasure. *points the gun at Betty*
Henry - No wait. Don't do it! Seeing you this way makes me realize just how much I love you.
Betty - What?
Charlie - I love you, too.
[Henry pushes Betty to the couch and goes over to Charlie]
Betty - *crying sadly* no...NO...NO!
